My education in photography started in my parent's basement darkroom, where I processed film and printed photos I had shot for the high school yearbook.  My photo career rolled along with a stint at the local FotoMat, followed by work at a commercial film lab and technical darkroom in college.   Years later, while ski patrolling in Colorado, I resumed shooting and began taking assignments for the resort and local publications.

Currently, I reside in Northern California and specialize in location photography for the hospitality industry.  As with mountain rescue, I have learned that the right tools and preparation make all the difference, so I have stocked my Sprinter 4x4 production van with the essentials for a light & fast approach to any number of image-making scenarios, including well off-the-grid.
